BMW's sales rose 3.2 percent in Europe, even though European automotive market's more sluggish


Frankfurt,  - In the U.S., BMW's sales rose 3.2 percent to 27,720 units last month and the cumulative first six months rose 10.5 percent to 158 563 units. While in China, June 2012, also increase highly  13.1 per cent to 23 930 units and 30.7 percent for the first half of this year with the achievements of 158 956 units. Special European market, BMW's managed to record positive sales 1.5 percent last month with 92 686 units. But, for the six-month period (January-June 2012) edged down 0.1 percent to 437 066 units.


European automotive market is more sluggish, sluggish current financial crisis struck again. However, this condition is recognized by BMW AG - as one of the biggest brands from Germany - will not be stopped, a new record sales this year.

BMW represent sales in global markets during the first half (January-June) increased by 8 percent. Just last month (June), sales rose 4 percent from the previous. When you add it to the BMW brand in the shade, as Mini and Rolls-Rocyce, totaled 172 516 units. This amount is a record high monthly sales driven improvement in China and the U.S. market.

"We are facing a new sales record this year," said Ian Robertson, BMW Chief Marekting and Sales, as reported by Autonews (07/08/2012).

Building Brand

With this achievement, it's  managed to shift the eternal rival BMW, Mercedes-Benz car market competition at the top of  premium on monthly sales (June 2012). Mercedes-Benz had to settle for sitting in second place with sales of 21 542 units.

For global sales of BMW brand alone, last month recorded an increase of 4 percent to 139 896 units in the sixth month and rose 8.3 percent for the first half of this year to 747 064 units. Principle support any sales on the model-3 Series, X3, Series-1 (five-door) and Series-6. With the launch of the latest models of the Series-1, Series 7, which is updated and do not miss the X1 can melonjakkan sales in the second half of this year.

For the Mini, BMW Group also increased its sales 3.9 percent to 32,337 units last month and 7 percent rise in first six months of this idea so 151 875 units. Its main weapon, Mini Countryman continues to record increased sales in the U.S. and China. As for the Rolls-Royce recorded sales of only 1,600 units during the first six months. This number is up slightly from the same period last year.
