Short message delivery of integrated voice control in BMW ConnectedDrive navigation system



Short message delivery of integrated voice control  in BMW ConnectedDrive navigation system that uses software Dragon Drive! creation from the U.S. software company, Nuance.

"BMW 7 series cars in 2012 will be the first to use the Dragon Drive which will be followed by the BMW 3 series Touring and the BMW 3 Series ActiveHybrid at the end of this year," said an official announcement on the site Nuanca Monday.

Dragon Drive allows the driver to talk, listen, compose, and reply to text messages and electronic mail (email).

Users can even add lines, paragraphs, punctuation, and other advanced formatting commands by voice.

Nuance also plans to add another voice command functions like music player controls and the search directions.

However, the instant messaging features with voice control is only available Nuance free of charge for 60 days. The company has not officially announced how much the fees charged to owners of BMW.

Andrew Webster of The Verge BMW owners write the new series will also have a lot of noise control related options given the German car manufacturer that supports the feature "Eyes Free" from the Apple Siri.

Cars BMW 7 Series, BMW 3 series Touring and the BMW 3 Series ActiveHybrid produced in July 2012 will feature short messages controlled by voice.
