lithium-ion battery's been produced by BMW and Toyota

MUNICH - Currently, BMW and Toyota have been producing lithium-ion battery combined with new material for the cathode, anode and electrolyte in Munich, Germany. This collaboration will be done in a long time to produce environmentally friendly cars.

The plan, the development of lithium ion battery will be used for either electric or hybrid cars to be made by BMW. Last December at the Tokyo Motor Show, the two companies signed a partnership to collaborate to make lithium-ion batteries for electric cars.

In addition to cooperation in that, BMW will also supply Toyota vehicles are marketed in Europe with a diesel engine 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter in 2014. Thus was launched Inautonews, Thursday (29/03/2012).

Furthermore, Toyota and BMW rival, the Nissan Motor Co., Renault and Daimler had previously done work on the project together, sharing machinery and technology.

The cooperation is carried out to save the rising costs of research and development when faced with the need to comply with environmental regulations.

BMW AG and Toyota Motor Corp. (TMC) to cooperate and to approach a deal to begin developing lithium-ion batteries. The study was conducted to better focus on improving performance and battery capacity.
