Two major car manufacturer Toyota Motor Corp. and BMW AG seems to be working together to build a car. BMW will give Toyota a series of diesel engines.

With this partnership, Toyota is hoping the diesel car can be more profitable at a time when sales of hybrid cars are environmentally friendly under pressure due to the strengthening of the yen against the U.S. dollar.

For BMW, this cooperation will allow them to ask Toyota's hybrid technology.

Cooperation with foreign manufacturer is the second step for Toyota. Previously Toyota took Ford to develop a hybrid pickup trucks and SUVs.
