174 manufacturers of automotive and components joined at Tokyo Motor Show 2011


Tokyo: The electric car is the latest generation of Honda Motor assembly was launched with a unique feature that combines the smartphone to search for and display information such as directions to the stores that suit rider taste. Meanwhile, Volkswagen and several other world producers who had missed last year's return to the exhibition this year by launching their latest electric cars.

International automotive exhibition Tokyo Motor Show 2011 officially opened to the media on Wednesday (30/11) local time. This year, the exhibition displays a variety of flagship models including the latest generation of electric cars, unique cars creations, and environmentally friendly automobile technology.

As quoted by NHK, a total of 174 manufacturers of automotive and components from Japan and around the world took part in the biennial exhibition that was held for 9 days. To the public, the exhibition will be open from 3 December.

The producers are also a lot of emphasis on energy efficiency by introducing new models of electric cars, hybrids and conventional cars more fuel efficient. Latest homemade electric car concept Nissan Motor was parked in a special area for charging car batteries. The car model was also supplies electrical power to the network.
