Mitsubishi's MIVEC Engine's installed by AS& G

TOKYO, -The engine will be paired on a compact SUV, RVR (name in Japan) or ASX Outlander Sport in some countries). Other models are also equipped with this technology is the Galant Fortis sedan Sport (outside of Japan called the Lancer or Lancer EX) and Galant Fortis Sportback (Lancer Sportback) 5-door hatchback. With the combination of both technologies, the three models mentioned, earlier, more efficient fuel consumption 12 percent (tested with the Japanese method).

mated Mitsubishi Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing technology Electronic (MIVEC) to Auto Stop & Go (AS & G). The goal, to machines that use both technologies are more economical fuel consumption. According to Mitsubishi in a release, the first machine that would combine the two technologies is 4J10 capacity of 1.8 liters.

New MIVEC
MIVEC is a time machine with the lid open and can be arranged in accordance with the workload and spins. While the U.S. & G, automotive engine technology die a few seconds the car stopped and immediately live again once the accelerator is pressed!

MIVEC technology is not new. Each manufacturer provides its own name. VTEC and Honda to name a more sophisticated version is the i-VTEC, while Toyota VVTi and VVTi-L is more sophisticated.

Well, the new Mitsubishi MIVEC assessed, it works the same concept but used VVTi-L engine single overhead camshaft (SOHC). High-lift valve setting is set continuously. Likewise, long opening, opening and closing time.

AS & G
Mechanisms idle-stop destination for save fuel consumption. You do this by turning off the engine when the car stopped at a red light. This technology previously only used Mitsubishi on models with manual transmission and sold in Europe. The model uses the ASX and Lancer.

AS & G's latest, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Other changes, using a 12 volt battery is more durable and converters DC / DC (to prevent interference with audio sound systems and Navitas system when the engine is turned on).

Old MIVEC
Mitsubishi MIVEC was first used in 1992. It was used two systems. First, the system is composed difference in the level and duration of opening the valve lift in accordance with engine speed or not is not a continuous-mernus. One again, (used on the machine 4B10) system valve open-close time changed continuously.

The new MIVEC engine used in the 4J10, is combination of  two systems above. This can be done because at one mechanism could be used to alter the level of suction valve lift, which determines the time and duration of valve opening. It allows three of the diuba change simultaneously and continuously.

The result, a new MIVEC produces n ideal control valve and reduce "pumping losses" (pumping losses). This can be done by using time (timing) luntuk suction valve controlling the volume of air suction channel groove there.

Furthermore, using the new MIVEC engine SOH - weights and fewer number of components - obtained better efficiency.
