NEW DELHI - Scheduled to begin producing Piaggio Vespa scooter in December 2011. Later, the Vespa scooter will be on display in the event the Auto Expo 2012 in Delhi, India as reported by Motorbeam, Saturday (08/20/2011).

Lately, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Piaggio, Vespa announced its intention launched in India. Piaggio plans to hold a scooter and manufacturing capacity that will facilitate the entry of Vespa in India.
Regarding sales, Vespa scooter will go on sale in March 2012. For Vespa scooter to be launched in India, 125cc engine and will be priced around Rs 60,000.
"We see a substantial market opportunity to the Piaggio motor in India. And, we also saw the growth of motorcycles in India each year has increased, "said Ravi Chopra, Chairman and MD Piaggio India.
Piaggio announced, one year forward plan will only mamproduksi 1.5 units of Vespa. And will continue to develop its production in 2013. This is done Piaggio to see the Indian market first.
