Jorge Lorenzo acknowledges We Need Something To Pursue Stoner

MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo, claiming they would be hard to beat the Repsol Honda rider, Casey Stoner, with the current performance of the Yamaha M1. Therefore, it is requested Yamaha's Spanish rider did something so that they can be competitive to deal with Honda.

"Maybe by mid-season. Maybe in Brno (14 August)," Lorenzo said speculation about a new machine, after losing to compete with Stoner in the race for number one podium at Catalunya on Sunday (06/05/2011).

Stoner is now won three of the five series that have acted throughout the 2011 season. Compare this with the new Lorenzo won a victory in a wet race at Jerez, in the Stoner failed to finish the series because it touched with Valentino Rossi.

In the last two series, Stoner scored 17 points more than Lorenzo. Although still remain in the top of the standings, but now Lorenzo only 7 points ahead of rivals from the Australian.

However, Lorenzo Yamaha realize that quite a lot of work. The reason, they also must continue to develop a 1,000 cc bike that will be used next year.

"I want to fight for victory this year. With this motor, it will be difficult. So, I need a few changes to make this bike a little faster," said Lorenzo, former double world champion in the 250 cc class.

"But also, I want to fight to compete for victory in 2012. I'm sure with the power to make two motorcycle Yamaha competitive."

When asked about the future development of the chassis, Lorenzo said he was very grateful to all the help.

"I'm waiting for repairs to anything. If the machine, I would be very happy. If it is the chassis, which can make me even more quickly, of course I'm fun. To be sure, we need something to fight with Casey today," he repeated.

"Maybe there are some tracks where he's not 100 percent, do not like, or can not be very strong. As Estoril. Then we can fight to win with what we have."
