DETROIT - Mercedes-Benz wants to show the world about fuel-cell technology is applied to the B-Class models. The car is not only on display at the event of NAIAS 2011. At the opening of the exhibition, (Januari 10, 2011), the German car manufacturers did ceremony of the three units of B-Class F-Cell which would travel around the world.

The journey took 125 days, beginning late January next split four continents with over 14 countries with different characteristics of weather and air temperature. The goal, campaigning for the effectiveness of use of fuel cell technology in an ordinary car (conventional).
The three units of B-Class fuel-cell were powered by electricity generated from the reaction of oxygen and hydrogen. Once the road, the car had 136 HP and torque of 290 Nm able to travel a distance of 400 km.
