Authorized Federation of International Motorsport, FIM, announced they would hold official hearings to observe and discuss the procedural actions of the marshals during the Spanish Grand Prix last weekend. This issue was erupted after the marshal was assessed for favoritism in providing aids following the sudden accident which happened to Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner.
In the incident, the marshals paid more attention to Rossi. They immediately picked up the Ducati Desmosedici GP11 to rest on "The Doctor" Rossi continued, after that race and finish in fifth position, then helped Stoner, who failed to continue the race.
After the race which was won by Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, was, Stoner gave negative comments about the professional performance of the marshal. Not just from the mouth of Stoner, Honda Gresini rider, Marco Simoncelli, also disappointed with the indifference marshal when he had an accident on lap 13, and was forced to leave the arena with the race-time fall, Simoncelli was leading the race course.
