Electric cars being charged the battery caused a fire on board the ferry. It seemed impossible, but it really happened.
A man named Dane Soeren Ekelund was in charge of the case. He was responsible for the burning of other cars such ship.
Excerpted from The Globe and Mail, Tuesday (26/11) ships carrying more than 600 passengers were sailing from Oslo to Copenhagen, Denmark.
Ekelund did not seem to connect the electrical connector with the battery connection in electric car perfectly. It was coupled with high humidity on the deck of the ship to makes electrical short circuit.
No injuries were reported, but 3 cars and 1 trailer was to be victims of raging fire.
As a result of the incident, the ferry operator DFDS temporarily prohibited passengers to charge electric cars on the ship.
