Conopied Electric Motor released by BMW

Jerman - elegant Peugeot has launched three-wheeled motorcycle with two powerful driving forces, namely, gasoline-fueled engine and electric motor. Now, it will exactly turn to amazing German car manufacturer, BMW, to make canopied motor prototype, named C1-E Concept.


Actually, BMW has released tipical products of C1 scooter in 2000. Sales could reach 10,000 units in the first year of launch. However, marketing in the next year was plummened and it forced production to be dismissed.



Well, the latest motorcycles from BMW was a further development of these C1. Concept of C1-E was applying an electric motor with energy from lithium-ion battery. There was also a gasoline engine with minimal combustion. Unfortunately, the amount of power and torque was not further informed by the manufacturer.



While waiting for production activities to take place, through this canopied electric scooter, BMW will attempt to create a new trend, namely the concept of urban vehicle was more secure and resistant to all weather.

The driver was wearing four-point safety belt. In addition, the roll-bar was made transversely at the front of the vehicle to absorb impacts when the collision occurred. Most interestingly, windscreen (glass wind barrier) are designed to be integrated with a canopy to protect the driver from the blazing sun and water when it rains arrive.

In developing this excellent product, elegant BMW involved the European Safer UrbanMotorcycling, a brilliant joint team between BMW, Piaggio, and the mixed municipality of Barcelona, London, Paris, Rome, and several outstanding universities in cultural Europe.
