Collaboration of Renault and Nissan will use the compact car platform (compact) owned Mercedes Benz, hatchback Q30 gave birth in 2015. Manifestation of the concept has appeared at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Platform known as the MFA can be paired with some type of body and machine, could create at least seven models. Mercedes Benz MFA developed while future generations will be updated with input Renault-Nissan.
The new platform will be flexible, have at least two lengths, with varying width, and the choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Vice President of Nissan, Andy Palmer said the aim of Mercedes and Renault-Nissan is producing a new front-wheel drive platform that will be used in Mercedes and Infiniti compact car.
"Daimler takes successor of MFA and a new car in the segment. Now being studied whether we could make the platform together," said Palmer, Motorauthority, Monday (16/09/2013).
Reportedly there is also the possibility of new Mercedes models will be made at Nissan's plant in Mexico that also spawned Infiniti charge.
In the year 2010, Mercy cooperation and Renault-Nissan starts from platform to share the latest generation of the Smart Fortwo and Renault Twingo. Continue to grow until 2012 they decided to share the components producing machine.
