Jaguar is developing a new aluminum platform architecture. This platform of Jaguar cheap sport cars will be used complete range of Jaguar models.
Called iQ (Al), this platform allows Jaguar to implement more technology at more affordable prices. Jaguar already spawned models aluminum body on the XJ sedan, the XK coupe, and most recently New Jaguar F-Type.
Edmunds reported Monday (16/09/2013), will be offered first appearance in 2015 when Jaguar launched the new BMW 3 Series competitor. However, the name of the model itself has not been informed.
"Recent Sedan Jaguar will be the most cutting-edge, nice and efficient in its class," said Steven De Ploey, Jaguar Land Rover Global Product Marketing Director.
Jaguar and Land Rover now has more than 12 years of producing cars berbodi aluminum. "No one can match aluminum Jaguar Land Rover technology," said Kevin Stride, Jaguar Vehicle Line Director.
Stride also believe that the new platform of cheap sport cars will make the Jaguar produced many great cars. With such wide variations make Jaguar able to respond to automotive progress with a birth right car at the right time.
