Cars that can drive themselves or driverless robot car in the near future will be on the market. Nissan will release a robotic car in 2020.
Previously, the car without the driver was initially developed by Google, following a car manufacturer such as GM, Ford, Volkswagen (Audi), Toyota, BMW, and Volvo.
To make a robot car, Nissan in collaboration with renowned universities such as MIT, Stanford, Oxford, and Carnegie Melon.
While in Japan, Nissan in collaboration with University of Tokyo, University of Tsukuba, and Waseda.
In 2020, Nissan is optimistic price of the car without the driver it would be realistic so that can be mass produced.
"In 2007, we promised to launch electric cars in the market in 2010. Promise we've proved it through the Nissan LEAF and became the best-selling electric cars. This time we will realize the robot car production in 2020," said Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn.
