corporate downsizing the ford and gm approaches

In corporate downsizing the ford and gm approaches,   new technology is a must for Ford and GM in an effort to catch up with the presence of 7-speed transmission technology, 8-speed and 9-speed that had previously penetrated the market.

In corporate downsizing the ford and gm approaches, two giants of Detroit, Ford and General Motors are competing with each other, is reportedly in talks in partnership on the latest transmission technology development project.

Automotive News, in the case of  corporate downsizing the ford and gm approaches,  reported, if all goes according to plan, GM will spawn 10-speed transmission that is applied to front-wheel vehicles, while Ford gave birth to 10-speed transmission for rear-wheel drive vehicles such as trucks and high performance vehicles.

The goal of developing new automated transmission technologies is to achieve two things. First is to get a fuel efficiency better and the second to be able to provide a more refined driving experience.

For example, their local rivals, Chrysler has embraced transmission specialist ZF of Germany to develop the 8-speed transmission on the Chrysler 300 sedan and back plans to introduce 9-speed transmission in the near future.
