BMW S1000RR motorcycle affected by the recall were made between 1 September 2011 to 10 April 2012. BMW promised to contact the vehicle owners and dealers will replace the damaged component for free bolts.
MANUFACTURER BMW Motorrad motorcycles do a recall on 1414 BMW S1000RR superbike unit 2012 due to problems in connecting rod bolts. Due to improper manufacturing processes, such devices could become to loose when the engine temperature is high.
According to BMW Motorrad and the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), if the bolt is loose on the engine can result in disaster.
