Toyota FCV-R concept predicts will be available on a global scale by 2020, supported also by a hydrogen refueling station.
Toyota has just revealed a little detail as to what their own hydrogen-powered cars are immediately released to the market in 2015. Still a concept car, debut Toyota FCV-R fuel cell take place at the Frankfurt motor show 2013.
FCV-R had previously been present at the Tokyo Motor Show 2011, Frankfurt will now acquired the allocation facelift version which implement various development. Toyota's Prius hybrid systems now in use, but the conventional engine is replaced by a hydrogen fuel cell, hydrogen storage tanks while replacing the engine fuel tank.
Toyota managed to reduce the size of the battery cell pack without compromising strength, it actually increased two-fold to 3.0 Kw per liter. Clearly innovation is beneficial practicalities as well as reduce costs for the entire system of hydrogen cells placed under the floor of the car.
