Bosch as one company of automotive battery manufacturers will contribute in terms of management of large-scale production of quality with such complex components. The German company will specialize in the monitoring and control of cell and battery system to the application on the vehicle.
While Yuasa as another company join into one of automotive battery manufacturers will contribute experience in manufacturing lithium-ion cell, materials and electrochemical systems. While Mitsubishi will apply knowledge of natural resources and raw materials and is responsible for marketing and sales.
Reported Caradvice, Monday (24/06/2013) was the third company to develop a battery that will be used in the latest hybrid and electric vehicles from Mitsubishi.
Mitsubishi car manufacturers increasingly serious to play in the electric car segment. It is characterized by the cooperation undertaken by the Japanese manufacturer Bosch and GS Yuasa International in the development of lithium-ion batteries.
Robert Bosch will hold stock of cooperation as much as 50 percent, while Mitsubishi with GS Yuasa International each hold a 25 percent stake.
With the cooperation forged, both Mitsubishi, Bosch and GS Yuasa will develop a battery with a lighter weight but able to store a lot of energy so it has more capabilities baikdari lithium-ion batteries available today.
