How interesting corvette XP-819?


Look at the figure's prototype of corvette  XP-819. Cars made only in 1964 has the engine position in the exact center of the vehicle at the rear of the driver.

History records that the idea behind the Corvette engine is not accepted and the corvette XP-819 was finally 'mutilated' into several pieces and stored in a garage in Daytona Beach.

After it's saved for years, was finally restored vehicle of corvette XP-819. Although it is not yet completed, Mid America Motorworks as the owner wants the prototype was exhibited at Amelia island Concours d'Elegance 2013.

It is natural that the new Corvette is being developed by Chevrolet is now rumored to use a mid-engine layout. Because the idea has appeared and it can be proven.



Corvette engine behind it will be showcased as a 'chassis can be driven' with the hope of being restored when the vehicle is completed, it can be re-attend the prestigious exhibition event next year.
