Opel factories in Germany will be unable to survive


Munich -   factory that produces cars will be closed and all production transferred to the UK or Ireland. Both countries have labor costs are lower.

Approximately 45,000 people are bound by the plant, but as the economic crisis in Europe, car sales figures decline. This makes the car manufacturers face high costs equivalent to the cost of production at 10 factories.


The fate of the car manufacturer that had debuted with the Opel Blazer is still in limbo. After being rumored to be saved GM, Opel factories in Germany will not be able to survive.

Quoted by Reuters, CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke Opel in GM pressure to reduce costs by moving production plant in Bochum Germany to other countries that have cheaper labor costs.

Stracke told the workers that there is no guarantee that they still worked at the plant after 2014.
