LONDON - This super car, McLaren MP4-12C's capable to run from rest to a speed of 100 km / h in just 3.3 seconds. The maximum speed that can be touched MP4-12C is reached 205 MPH or 330 km / h.
McLaren did not want to fall behind its competitors in the style of the super car segment. This British manufacturer set up amid the MP4-12C, with a retractable roof closed, or a convertible version.
McLaren MP4-12C are designing the convertible version, which will be added behind the name of Spider. Nothing is different from other designs, but only the roof that can be folded. This model is being designed by Webasto, a company that also designed the Ferrari 458 Spider.
As reported by autocar.co.uk, a transparent engine cover will be retained in this version of Spider. Weight of the car also made the same as the coupe version, so that this supercar still has a good ability to maneuver.
Despite the engine is still the same, while the roof is opened, the McLaren MP4-12C Spider predicted to be much faster than the Coupe version. Aerodynamic flow are considered better at Spider.
The capacity of the machine is still a hold of 3.8 liter V8 unit twin-turbo. At the MP4-12C Coupe, the engine was able to develop total output reaching 592 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 443 lb-ft of torque at engine speed between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm.
