careless behavior in men under age 55 years in driving habit

Paris - For this study, the researchers used information from questionnaires driver and a police report to determine what may have contributed to the accident while comparing it with a blood alcohol level.

Of accidents, most riders is the rider behavior in men who are under age 55 years.

More than half of riding a motorcycle, about a third driving and 10 percent ride a bicycle at the time of the accident.

Police also determined that 355 of the riders that they are responsible for the accident. Moreover, Moore and his colleagues found that motorists between the ages of 18 and 29 years often drive after drinking alcohol and became drowsy, which in turn increases the risk of accidents.

"We know from experimental studies that lack of sleep only four hours will result in a decrease in concentration equal to 6 cans of beer," said a member of Henry Ford Hospital Sleep Disorders and Research Centre, Christopher Drake.

"If you have a night makes sleep deprivation, it is equivalent to having a blood alcohol level of 0.12," said Drake, who was not involved in the study.

It is undeniable that drowsy driving is a dangerous thing. In fact a recent study revealed that driving while sleepy is as dangerous as driving under the influence of alcohol.

A recent study from France revealed that drowsy while behind the wheel as dangerous as driving while intoxicated.

At least, sleepy and drinking while driving drunk twice as likely to cause accidents than driving a vehicle in a state of 'normal.'

Research under the direction of Nicholas Moore, Centre Universitaire de Bordeaux Hospitalo-analyzed information from 679 motorists who were hospitalized in southwestern France for more than 24 hours because of serious accidents between 2007 and 2009.

"Sleepiness has almost the same risk as alcohol consumption," wrote Moore and his colleagues in a letter in the Archives of Internal Medicine as detikOto quote from IOL.
