VOLKSWAGEN
Alltrack created to rival the Subaru Outback. This concept vehicle is identical to the Passat Alltrack ever shown at the Tokyo Motor Show last November.

Station wagon type vehicles have historically been less successful in the North American market. Instead Volvo XC70 and Subaru Outback are very popular there. Both carry the lighter style and having a higher ground clearance than the other station wagon.

Armed with that observation, Volkswagen tried their luck with a more rugged aesthetic style in hopes of luring the market in the region.

The concept of carrying Alltrack features 4MOTION system which offers an off-road mode that works when vehicle speed goes below 30 km / h.

This vehicle is equipped with stability control system capable of controlling the more progressive engine response in low-traction situations.

Auxiliary systems in the descent (hill descent control) will automatically connect when it moves close to the slope of the slope exceeds 10 percent.
