Hyundai i-oniq's electric sport car unveiled at Geneva Motor Show 2012


Hyundai's head of European designer says, "Two strong curved trajectory will determine the i-oniq silhouette that creates a game of contrasts between sharp character lines and subtle but muscular."

This new concept is a picture of Hyundai's latest design language style which is a further evolution of the design language 'fluidic sculpture' which previously could be seen in the form of Hyundai I40.

HYUNDAI plans to display their latest concept car at Geneva Motor Show 2012 event which will be opened on 6 March. Four-passenger concept vehicle with a length of 4.4 meters was named Hyundai i-oniq.

I-oniq sport hatchback is the electric powered vehicle that carries an electric motor-powered 109 PS and a range-extender petrol engine capacity of 1.0 liter three cylinder that serves to charge the vehicle battery.

In the pure electric mode, i-oniq have cruising as far as 120 km, but with the gasoline engine capable of generating electricity, these vehicles cruising jark skyrocketed to more than 700 km.

In the range-extender mode, i-oniq produce CO2 emissions are minimal. Through the gasoline engine, it only produces emissions levels 45 g / km.
