Winkelmann told Autocar magazine that the car bearing the raging bull will continue to use the engine without the turbo at least in the last decade. That means we will not see the Lamborghini-engined forced-induction (turbo) to 2020.
The statement also explained clearly that the next generation of Gallardo prepared to make his debut in two years or more in the future will not use the engine with a turbocharger.
A number of newspapers that circulate in cyberspace mentioned the Audi R8 will be getting a machine with a smaller capacity and use of forced-induction system that in the near future Lamborghini will also be using it. But Winkelmann denied and affirmed that it will not happen.
However, with the emission standards and fuel consumption of tighter now, it looks like Lamborghini would not want to leave a big naturally aspirated engine even though it has a long tradition in the history of Lamborghini.
President and CEO of Lamborghini Stephan Winkelmann stated that they produce vehicles that will continue to use the naturally aspirated engine with no turbo or supercharger for now.
