Development of the MP4-27 looks final

Woking, - Display of MP4-27, especially the muzzle (slightly down) is not as extreme as the MP4-26 model, the design of the rear view mirror and the position of the exhaust. "Although the nature of evolution, but the total new car is very different," said Tim Goss, McLaren's Technical Director. Development of the MP4-27, continued Goss, carried out from front to back, except for the fuel system is still the same.

Tight regulation, added by Paddy Lowe (Technical Director), making it difficult to give his team innovation. However, the "obstacles" that did not stop Paddy and his men to improve car performance.

"Although viewed MP4-27 is almost similar as the MP4-26, but underneath there have been many changes," said Paddy. Especially the back, the packaging is more neat and pretty much in touch with the goal of improving the flow of exhaust air. Not only that, the cooling system sidepods revised and redesigned to suit the new regulations about exhaust.

For Paddy, the greatest challenges provide aerodynamics not only to find the press (downforce), but also create the right balance. "You need downforce, but should be able to use it in the right area."

Hamilton and Button was very impressed with their new car. "I am grateful to the people who had worked all winter to develop the car," said Button.

While Hamilton admitted to be motivated to figure out handsome car. "Hopefully with this new car can reclaim the title that won the Red Bull," hoped the former world champion in 2008.

McLaren MP4-27 was launched at the headquarters of the McLaren technology center (McLaren Technology Center), Wednesday (01/02/2012) yesterday, an evolution of its predecessor (MP4-26) whose achievements are less glowing. Last year, the couple of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button only contribute 6 victory. Now, with new car and expected accomplishments both McLaren drivers may be more shine.
