2013 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible's is equipped with a supercharged V8 engine

CHICAGO - Ford has prepared the youngest super car, the Shelby GT500 Convertible 2013. The plan, the car will be officially launched at the Chicago Motor Show 2012 event. Previously, the car also had exhibited at the Detroit Motor Show 2012.


According to Ford, the car is prepared for the company celebrates 20 years of SVT (Special Vehicle Team). 2013 Shelby GT500 Convertible will also come with the package and track performance package, performance package is equipped with Bilstein electronically. Since the modern era GT500 slide in 2007, Ford has always offered a convertible variant, and it has not changed in this 2013 model. Ford did not want to lag behind its rivals, which offer the ZL1 Camaro hardtop and droptop variant.

Further, the Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible is equipped with a supercharged
V8 engine 8.5-liter that can generate power to 650 hp with maximum torque of 813 Nm (600 lb-lf).

There was also a dual fuel system that allows to use a special racing fuel and regular fuel, and electronic boost control that can offer a different pressure levels for each transmission.
