EVA manufactured Diesel Motorcycles using Smart ForTwo's mechine

NETHERLANDS - Motorcycle designed for adventure is equipped with 800 cc three-cylinder engine, used exactly as Daimler-Benz on small cars Smart ForTwo with the best range of applications from ship engines. Even though small engine capacity of technology has brought common-rail direct injection turbocharged and intercooler fitted and the engine weighs 44.9 kg.

The maximum power produced 48 HP at 2750 rpm with torque of 88.5 lb-ft between 850 rpm to 4250 rpm, is channeled to the rear wheels through a CVT transmission. Moderate stationernya engine speed at 850 rpm and indeed more noisy than gasoline engines.

Hence, many motorists have not looked at the diesel engine. In addition to its heavier weight and more robust construction, making it unsuitable applied on a motorcycle. In fact, it's very good diesel engine traveling at the speed or low rpm.

Problem of fuel consumption, EVA claimed 42.5 km per liter at 88 miles per hour. With a tank capacity of 22 liters can travel a distance of 860 miles more.

Looking at the short muffler design and is located under the engine, the motor seemed less power. Indeed, three-cylinder engine had a distinctive sound, especially Garrett turbo blades work. When it accelerates, Track T-800 DCI fierce on medium speed 70 to 105 miles per hour. Then, within each state, electronically regulated gas still providing optimal response.

To be comfortable while driving, a second wheel mounted Excel size 17-inch alloy wheels (front) and 21 rear. For the suspension, which can be tuned WP rear, both flexibility and statement. Medium front, also WP with 48 mm forks. Braking systems rely on Brembo 4 piston, 310 mm discs.

Consumers in Europe are very loved car diesel engines. In addition to environmentally friendly (for the current technology), lower maintenance costs due to the workshop schedule is less than gasoline engines. Now, the diesel engine began to be tried on a motorcycle as it has been created by Eva Products from the Netherlands with Track T-800 CDI.
