Suzuki's back to Mitsubishi after splitting with VW

Tokyo - VW accused Suzuki violating the cooperation agreement signed in late 2009, with machinery bought from Fiat. While Suzuki was not violated. Suzuki who was offended was also accused of VW, so that Suzuki and VW finally get a divorce some time ago. Suzuki asked immediately restore VW shares already purchased it.

Suzuki started to turn away from Volkswagen. Suzuki approached Mitsubishi to develop electric cars in the future.
Mitsubishi is the first manufacturer to make the commercialization of electric car of i-MiEV will supply the electric motors for Suzuki.

"Mitsubishi and Suzuki were discussing this in more details. The plan, the supply for the Suzuki will begin in February 2012," Mitsubishi said in a statement on Tuesday (11/22/2011).

If this cooperation had gone smoothly, then the process of commercialization of electric cars that cost so much today would be much easier. Prices could be lowered.

"Talks (Suzuki-Mitsubishi) is intended to increase the economic value and ultimately will lower production costs and increase productivity," Mitsubishi said in a statement.

As reported by AFP, Suzuki has actually been asked for tech support on the VW hybrid and other environmentally friendly technologies. While VW Suzuki hopes it can help them to produce small cars.

But there is no progress to be made. Even the Volkswagen-Suzuki cooperation have run aground because of a dispute between the two.
