Stuttgart - The decision to dissolve the ultra-luxury car brand, Maybach, who became Prince William's wedding gift is forced to be taken during the first decade after the sale of Maybach 62 and Maybach 57 do not get better.

German car manufacturer, Daimler finally decided to enter the ultra-luxury car brand, Maybach. A more luxurious car brand Mercedes-Benz, Maybach would be 'killed' in 2013.

Responding to the news, the boss of Mercedes-Benz in the United States, Juergen Hubbert reluctant to talk much. He acknowledged that the target of 800 units per year for the American market is difficult to achieve.

Daimler boss Dieter bitter Zetche said if the decision is a positive step to focus greater attention on the Mercedes-Benz brand are far more successful.

"We've come to the conclusion that it is better to cut our losses rather than continue with the Maybach into an uncertain future with a brand that has failed to live," said the man in the Daimler as quoted from AutoWeek, Monday (28/11/2011) .

The end of Maybach will happen

"Plans are already set to fill the void left by the Maybach 57 and 62 with the next generation S-Class will be offered in three variations wheelbase and six different body styles, including the highest variant S600 Pullman," he explained.

But, although it plans to dispose of Maybach, both 57 and 62 remain to be produced until early 2013, when the fifth-generation S-class will be introduced.

"There's no point producing beyond this date, because there will be no production synergies," said another source.
