Ford's future machines, 3-cylinder EcoBoost

DETROIT, - a small capacity engine with the use of direct-injection turbo will be produced in 2 versions, which are distinguished by force. First, the 100 PS engine with CO2 emissions levels of 109 g / km. Second, the 125 PS engine with exhaust gas CO2 114 g / km.

The plan, the machine will be perched on some products next year as the Ford C-Max, Grand C-Max and B-Max. Initial target machine is targeting the European market before venturing into the world.

Ford officially unveiled its future machines, 3-cylinder EcoBoost conducted CEO and President of Ford, Alan Mulally in Cologne, Germany, yesterday (10/11). Unmitigated, Ford directly targeting the 1.5 million units to be distributed to the entire world.

For the European market needs, the machine will be manufactured in Dunton and Dagenham, England. Production capacity of both plants is expected to reach 700,000 units a year. So some other Ford plants as in Romania live to fill the shortage of the overall target.
