IndyCar racer die, Dan Wheldon's trapped in fire in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Dan Wheldon, who went far from his native England to the United States for an incredible goal to win the Indianapolis 500 and his presence to win two times the IndyCar's most famous sport race, Sunday's accident caused him to die, because he's trapped in large fire in Las Vegas Indy 300. He's 33 years when recent accident happened.
Wheldon, who won the Indy 500 for the second time this May, admirably has won 16 times in a career in IndyCar and has previously won the series in 2005. He was airlifted from the track at Las Vegas 13:19 local time Sunday and taken to a nearby hospital, became the first IndyCar driver to die after an accident on the track since the rookie Paul Dana killed in practice on the morning of the race at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2006.
