Competition in MPV class between Nissan and Toyota

MPV is planned to equipped with a 1.5-liter DOHC, VVTi, currently used by Daihatsu Gran Max and Luxio. While the Avanza, the production returned to Daihatsu.


Toyota seemed to beating the war drums, with plans to produce its own models in the segment between the Kijang Innova and Avanza. The goal, to block or fight directly with the Nissan Grand Livina MPV.

One proof of open warfare under the Toyota MPV  against Nissan with the launch of the New Grand Livina Highway Star on Tuesday. Nissan plans to do so when the onslaught of information immediately Toyota Avanza launched the All-New, best-selling MPV in the near future (estimated November 2011).

Toyota Motor Corporation - delivered directly Akio Toyota - will expand its factory to increase production to 180,000 units per year from 110,000 units previously. Since the new expansion begins, it is likely that new products can be produced early 2013.
