DETROIT, - Recall by Honda Motor Company because the problem occurs in software that could potentially interfere with the operational functions of the automatic transmission was quoted as saying by Reuters. Software errors that will result in transmission damage, mainly when drivers move the transmission lever quickly from the back (R) to neutral (N)-drive (D) is done while stuck in snow or mud.


Honda Motor Company stated a massive improvement campaign (recall) 2.49 million units of products, namely CR-V and Accord. Vehicles in the recall was composed of 1.5 million units in the United States, 760,000 units in China, and 135,142 units in Canada. The rest of the Middle East, South America, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, but does not include units sold in Japan.

Chris Martin, spokesman for Honda in California said, "The damage is only found on some vehicles. Most consumers will not experience this problem. It's just a matter of software programs."

For the Accord, the problems occur in production models from 2005 to 2010. Specifically in the U.S. and Canada, the CR-V is also facing the same problem for the unit of production output Element 2007-2010 and 2005-2008. As in China, the recall is carried out on 160 000 4000 Odyssey Spirior production output from 2005 to 2009 and 2010.
