Japan wants more efficient cars in the country to 24.1 percent in 2020

Tokyo - The Japanese government will urge automakers to produce more efficient cars fuel oil. Japan wants more efficient cars in the country to 24.1 percent in 2020. Electric cars and plug-in hybrid cars will be exempted from this rule, because these cars use an external power source outside of the fuel. However, a pure hybrid cars like the Prius, have to follow the new rules.

in Japan's standard fuel consumption averaged 16.3 km per liter. Later all cars on the road have at least the fuel consumption of 20.3 km per liter as reported by Reuters on Friday (08/19/2011), at present.

This standard is actually more 'refined' than the U.S. government wants ie 25 km per liter in 2025.

Ministry of Economy, Trade, Industry and Transport will provide a proposal about it on Friday before releasing the final draft of the rules of fuel consumption.

Fuel consumption standards aim to reduce greenhouse gas greenhouse to a new level and urged car manufacturers to develop new designs and better.

During this time, the Japanese manufacturer is already famous for its fuel efficiency. In global markets, thanks to features that are fuel efficient, cars can compete with Japan's relatively better than other manufacturers.
