London - Not even a victory this season, Fernando Alonso is believed to be rising. But Sebastian Vettel remains predictable out to be world champion, unless made a fatal mistake.
Sebastian Vettel remains predictable to be world champion, unless making a fatal mistake
The assessment made by the 1997 F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve. According to him, Alonso would be able to sharpen their performance so far after the Ferrari driver was still soaking in the top five drivers' standings.
"He is hardworking and very stubborn. You could see that he has a special quality. From the beginning of Flavio Briatore (former boss at Renault's Alonso) told you he was a tremendous racer and so far we've seen," said Villeneuve in Planet F1 .
Even so, the rise of Alonso will undoubtedly still not able to catch Vettel who was comfortably entrenched at the top of the standings.
Not only that, with six wins from eight first series, in which two other series Vettel finished in second place, just a stupid mistake alone will make the Red Bull drivers that fail to retain the world title.
"This year, Vettel is definitely a favorite. He will win easily, unless he made a stupid mistake," predicted Villeneuve.
