The results showed the Mercedes, the use of banana Abaca fibers are able to cut energy use by 60 percent compared to using the material of glass fiber. In fact, CO2 emissions produced by the plant during the production process that uses a material component of Abaca banana fibers were significantly decreased.

Only, Mercedes does not specify the amount of CO2 emission reduction it. But, certainly, the use of materials from pairs of Abaca it also gives another advantage because the wastes can be used for organic fertilizer.

Materials manufacture of automobile components of Abaca banana fiber was supplied by the Manila Cordage - a spinning company from the Philippines - in the form of semi-finished. The material was then refined by Rieter, factory auto parts supplier from Switzerland.

"We implemented the way Abaca fiber production of components for several years, and has conducted a series of strict tests," I'm Herbert Kohler, Rieter boss.

He ensures the material has proven its quality. However, to date the material was still used for exterior parts of automobiles.
