Latest Racing Car Concept is based on Toyota MR2 Successor

THE Tokyo Auto Salon event last year, Toyota showed off a concept hybrid sports car moved by all-wheel-drive taken from the base MR2 roadster that has been outdated. Latest Racing Car Concept is based on Toyota MR2 Successor

GRMN name is taken from GAZOO Racing tuned by Meister of Nurburgring, as a form of tribute to the leadership of Toyota's test driver Hiromu Naruse (1944-2010) who died in an accident late last summer, when trying to prototype of Lexus LFA Edition Nurburgring in Germany.

This new prototype model of the design brings an entirely new body and has undergone improvements in the system of sports-hybrid all-wheel-drive. Mainly driven by a V6 gasoline engine type 2 grams-FXE 3.5-liter (3456 cc) which produces 249 PS plus an electric motor that drives the rear wheels mounted at the center of the vehicle along ransmisinya components.

While the front wheels are driven by an electric motor which is able to present both front-wheel drive system (front-wheel-drive). The total power can be generated from the merger of engine power and two electric motors that achieve 299 PS.
