Hybrid Cars is not Purchased Although the High Rise of gasoline fuel

United States may be leading in the campaign environmentally friendly vehicles, but the fact is still more powerful car than the hybrid behavior, even when fuel prices are at peak.

Hybrid Cars is not Purchased Although the High Rise of gasoline fuel

According to USA Today, total vehicle sales of Ford's muscular Mustang, Dodge Challenger and Chevrolet Camaro, still better than the total hybrid sales. Ratio is 19,476 units versus 17,852 units. That is the number of sales in the last month in the U.S. as compiled Edmunds.com.

Is it because the U.S. public does not like hybrids? not really. Sales of environmentally friendly vehicles fall along the earthquake and tsunami in Japan recently.

Most environmentally friendly cars come from Japan (especially Toyota and Honda) and their production disrupted by the disaster.

Sales of the Toyota Prius, the most popular hybrid, falling 51.4% compared to the same month last year. The cause is not enough supply.

Ford also had the Fusion and Escape hybrid but never could match the sales of Toyota or Honda. Escape hybrid last month sold 1118 units while the Escape version gasoline engines sold 23,140 units.

Cars typical stocky U.S. also began to fuel-efficient, yet no compromise with power. Ford Mustang V6 version with 300 horsepower can reach 30 miles per gallon on the highway (the Prius 50 miles / gallon).

Of course, there are versions of the true Mustang, as well as the Camaro and Challenger are all the V8-engined car "consuming" huge fuel.
