Ford officially Builds Engine Factory in China to strengthen and compete competitively

Chongqing - Ford further strengthen its presence in the land of China by building a machine factory for specific Ford vehicles to serve local markets.

The successful construction of this plant following an agreement between China and Changan Ford Mazda Ford Automobile (CFMA) in collaboration with the Chongqing municipal government.

Total investment for the factory ford engine reaches USD500 million and will help CFMA to meet production capacity in China reached 750 thousand units in 2013 season.

In April, Ford announced it will offer 15 new models until 2015. These products will further strengthen Ford's position on the segment where other companies emerging.

Besides Ford has also signed an agreement last May to build the engine first transmission in the country, including in Chongqing with an annual capacity reached 400 thousand units. At the beginning of next year, through the Ford plant in Chongqing will begin to enter the production phase that begins with the Ford Focus.
