Finally, Audi Q3 is out of the factory

MADRID - Production of Audi's Q3 already begun. The first unit of this crossover model already left the Martorell plant in Spain, today, Wednesday (06/08/2011). This is the first in the history of premium vehicles produced in Spain.

After a busy first year ended 2012, Audi plans to gives an estimated 100,000 new vehicles, which will be produced in three shifts. Audi will be with SEAT achieve the full potential of production at Martorell.

"Collaboration for all who participated for Q3 of this project has been started since two years ago," explained by vice president of SEAT Production, Wolfram Thomas as reported autoevolution, Wednesday (08/06/2011).

"Manufacturing Q3 is an example of how we take advantage of synergies within the Group to improve competitiveness. Martorell factory is a facility that is very competent with a quality workforce. We work together to meet the standards of excellence demanded by our brand. Q3 is the quality products from Audi, "explains vice president of Audi AG Frank Dreves.

Audi Q3 will be offered in a choice of petrol engines and one diesel engine. All are equipped with direct injection system, which can generate power to 140 and 211 hp.

Two engines will be mated with the driving system Audi Quattro all-wheel-drive system through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. A gasoline-powered 170hp engine will also be offered, but with front-wheel drive system drives.
