Honda's Official website, My Honda, was hacked

TORONTO- Honda Canada Site uprooted hackers so that 283,000 Honda and Acura customer data was stolen. Honda also sent letters to its customers to be wary of suspicious marketing and sales activity .

Jerry Chenkin, Executive Vice-President and Chief Compliance Officer of Honda Canada Incorporated, as reported by thetruthaboutcars, Saturday (05/28/2011), confirming that they have lost customer data, namely the police number, name, customer address, vehicle identification number (VIN ) cars, and some social security numbers. Hacker (hacker) to steal data through My website My Honda and Accura.

To appease consumers whose data was stolen, Honda soon provide information through a special channel.

This case is not the first time experienced by Honda. Last year, a total of 4.9 million customer data lost in the U.S. Honda and hackers managed to steal 2.2 million names, e-mail, and information as well as 2.7 million Honda owner's name and e-mail Acura owners.
