Agile Stoner, who in the wonderful series premiered in Qatar became great champion, recorded the best time of 1 minute 39.551 seconds. He was 0.028 seconds ahead of teammate, Pedrosa, who in Qatar had to settle for third place finish.

This spiky-haired Italian rider winning over world champion Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha), which must be satisfied in the order of five. The next position is filled by Andrea Dovizioso (Repsol Honda), who had fallen in the curve 11 on the last lap, followed by Ben Spies (Yamaha), Colin Edwards (Yamaha Tech 3), Randy de Puniet (Pramac), and Nicky Hayden (Ducati), who complete the compete composition of the top 10 this exercise.
