London: The Kia Sportage has been named as Car of the Year 2011 by the magazine Carbuyer.co.uk. Ginseng domestic car production also received honors for class 4x4. Kia Sportage is described as a "landmark car", which it combines the reliability performance for on-road or off road, with complete equipment.
The award was presented by editor Carbuyer And Strong to Head European Operations Paul Philpott of Kia Motors and Kia Motors UK managing director Michael Cole, at the Kia stand at the Geneva Motor Show.
"This is a very proud of the recognition of a media to be a reference to retail customers who will buy the best car. It's not just about looks and glamorous but it is real work for the community," said Philpott.
"Since we launched our all-new Sportage has seen significant growth of the number of consumers who are interested in and request broad. All-new Sportage has attracted the attention of all sectors of the new car market, and reviews Carbuyer about technology, design and value Sportage make it appeal getting bigger, "said Cole.
All-new Kia Sportage comes with the 1.6-liter gasoline engine and 2.0 liter, and diesel engine 1.7 and 2.0 liters, with a choice of 2 or 4 wheel drive. In the UK, the car was released at 17,015 to 26,740 pounds. (autoevolution / MLA)
