Innovative progress of alternative energy using coffee as energy resource in the shape of battery

Technological developments lately begun to crawl in the field of empowerment of alternative energy sources. One of them is to use coffee as a source of energy. Currently, the latest technology being developed for Nespresso Capsules can be mass produced and inexpensive. Nespresso Capsules is an energy-efficient batteries using coffee as the base ingredients. The idea of finding environmentally friendly battery was first initiated by Mischer Traxler.
The structure of alternative energy sources is comprised of aluminum capsule, with copper strips, salt water, and of course coffee grounds. The working principle is quite simple battery, aluminum serves as the anode, and copper as the cathode, while functioning as an electrolyte salt water. It could be said of chemical processes in the battery is similar to the workings of a car battery.

In a fairly simple chemical process, each battery is capable of generating electricity at 1.5 to 1.7 volts, the equivalent of AA size batteries that we often use. Therefore, the battery energy saving is expected to replace the standard battery. As known by us, the conventional battery energy sources we use now have enough basic material which it is harmful to the environment.
Battery-powered coffee is already tested its use in Venice Design Week, in which 700 copies battery is able to provide power for hours at the festival technologies. Currently, the battery performance is being under development. The hope, later this battery can also replace the battery a more complex system like which it is used by us for information technology products, including mobile phone batteries or laptop batteries.
