How lovely! BMW released X1 SUV to be handed to India Cheapest

NEW DELHI - BMW introduced the sport utility vehicle (SUV) X1 was the cheapest for the Indian market 23/12/2010). The vehicle was assembled in Chennai, India, 180 crore for an investment fund. The market price was started from the lowest from 22 lakh to 29.9 lakh.

This SUV had two variants, namely X1 18i sDrive with maximum power of 150 BHP and 200 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm which valued at least 437.1 million rupiahs. The other variant was diesel version with two options, namely X1 sDrive 20d, on which it was valued Rp 474 million (23.9 lakh) and X1 20d exclusive sDrive cost Rp 594.1 million (29.9 lakh). For diesel engines, it had power 177 BHP and torque of 350 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm.

BMW claims that especially diesel engines, acceleration 0-100 km per hour were taken for 8.3 seconds, whereas 10.4 seconds for gasoline. All models of the BMW X1 was equipped with automatic transmission 6 levels of acceleration.


Regarding to fuel consumption, BMW took the test calculation of ARAI. As a result, gasoline engine X1 was 11.24 kms per liter, while diesel 15.24 kms per liter.

"The BMW X1 is indeed set to be a measure of the carrier vehicle for sporting activities in which that had a machine with a level of exceptional fuel efficiency," said Andreas Schaaf, President of BMW of India, at the launch. For X1 position, he continued, it was under his brother, the X3 and X5, on which it was being marketed in India.

The presence of this compact SUV would be bothering the SUV market competition in which it was underway in the State crowded Sari, the Toyota Fortuner, Nissan X-Trail, Mitsubishi Outlander and Hyundai Santa Fe.
