electric car Travel for 1,000 km with Battery

A total of 8320 have been prepared to make a vehicle battery can run for 27.5 hours.


A group of fans from Tokyo is successful for modification of driving an electric-fueled car as far as more 1000 miles (exactly: 1003.184 kilometers) just by using rechargeable batteries.

That note broke the record which they made themselves for the furthest distance that successfully pursued without charging their vehicles.

As quoted from Cnet, on June 5, 2010, the Japan Electric Vehicle Club has asked the Guinness World Records to verify the record which was recorded in Shimotsuma, Ibaraki, Japan.

Vehicles used by them was a modified 'Mira' Daihatsu to good working which it use Sanyo lithium ion battery.

A total of 8320 batteries arranged in such a way as to create vehicles that can run for 27.5 hours at a speed of about 40 kilometers per hour. Vehicle itself driven by 17 drivers, in turn.

Prior to this, record accounted for Guinness is the journey as far as 555 miles from Tokyo to Osaka. Achievement is recorded by the same automobile club in November 2009. (kd)
